The workshop for me is a place of peace and harmony. I have spent many days, weeks and months designing, building and then re-designing and re-building, my ideal workshop. My current design includes a machine shop for the dirty dusty work and a hand shop; a temperature and humidity controlled space for hand work and storing pre-machined timbers. The timbers are stored to acclimatise in a humidity controlled environment for at least two to three months.
